Welcome to Samooh
We are building a community for founders, makers, and builders of Indian origin who are working on exciting world-class products and apps for a global audience.As we see an increase in the number of global startups and apps coming out of the Indian diaspora, we also feel the need for a sense of community among us.We want to gather the brightest minds working on things that have a big impact and utility everywhere, including India.Samooh is an initiative to provide makers with a supportive network of people who have been there, done that, and are happy to pay it forward.

Jaiya currently leads marketing at Carry and runs a newsletter on the side called 'girlsplains' where she covers everything at the intersection of startups, tech, money, and pop culture.She's even worked on MrBeast's TikTok strategy, made crypto more friendly for women with Cryptobesties, helped Gas go viral with content strategy, and more!
Satvik Sethi
Satvik was the former global product lead of Mastercard's Web3/NFTs, Blockchain and Digital Assets products.He's currently working on Offline Protocol to serve the needs of those who are unbanked and digitally disconnected.He's also a big advocate of mental health having founded Runaway for discussions around mental health awareness as well as Anokha, a platform that provides a positive alternative to toxic social media networks.
Rima Patel
Rima has a MD/MS in Health Policy and works with early stage startups, clinician entrepreneurs and creators to craft go-to-market strategies, strategic partnerships and go from 0 to 1.She also has experience in healthcare equity and healthcare policy and is part of networks such as the IBM chief global officer network, investors, and has global experience with consulting early stage startups, doctors, and digital health business in US, LATAM, and India.Rima is currently working on helping healthcare entrepreneurs be fully compliant.
Ashita Achuthan
Ashita is currently building Otto, your personal AI biographer that records your memories and turns them into published stories.She also built Fantoons, a social platform built around fandoms that lets fans create and read fan-fiction comics with Generative AI.Ashita used to work on Product at Twitter, Amazon, Ebay, and was also the co-founder of Women in Product that helps thousands of women and non-binary people grow their career in product management.
Apoorva Savant
Apoorva is currently a Senior Product Designer at Adyen.She graduated from BITS Pilani, Goa and joined the IIT Bombay Industrial Design Centre as a Design Researcher.Apoorva has previously worked on UX Design at Paytm Insider and Speakap and also developed an Eye Tracking Interface for ALS Patients.
Ajey Pai
Ajey is currently doing a PhD in computer science at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and the University of Amsterdam.He did a Masters of Science in Research from IIT Delhi where he developed AI algorithms to detect gastrointestinal diseases.He designs reliable AI algorithms to understand women’s cancers better, and wants to make these cutting edge technologies and cancer treatments more accessible in remote locations.
